Lhuntse Tshechu

Lhuntse is the eastern part of Bhutan and shares its border with the autonomous region of Tibet. Every village in Lhuntse Tshechu festival that is quite distinct compared to other communities of Bhutan. The noticeable festivals are the Cha and the Ha festivals which is celebrated to honor the gods and receive the blessings.

The highlights here are the three-day annual festival. Tshechu is generally celebrated in the month of November and attracts a large crowd. People who visit the Lhuntse Tshechu festival believe that they can clean their sins by watching the masked dance. The blessing is received from the relics that is displayed during the festival. The colorful outfit is the most attractive view during the festival.
